Rachael Burns (Founder of Integrity Initiative) and Lily Gresele (Founder of How To Be Well) are teaming up to bring you Unfiltered, a short documentary highlighting the experiences of Western Australians through mental ill-health.

Lily and Rachael are both young people in Boorloo who have founded and operate grassroots, Lived Experience mental health enterprises. Now, they are combining forces to create a powerful depiction of stories from folks of various backgrounds and intersectional experiences.

Unfiltered is a celebration of Mental Health Week 2025, guided loosely by the theme "Empowering Communities, Thriving Workforces". It discusses what it means to feel included, the importance of the Peer workforce, and what happens when Lived Experience is not valued. It is more than a film, it is a call to action.

Join us to launch the stories of seven Western Australians - Natalee Blakemore, Eva Cocks, Lana Moon, Annabel Tannenbaum, Jacob Gaitskell, Allison McDonald, and Zoe Diakoloukas. As an exclusive bonus, you can also expect to hear from some of the cast and talk to them directly!

Recognition of Lived Experience

The Consumer/Survivor Movement calls for human rights, recognition, and justice for people with lived experience of mental health challenges, psychiatric treatment, and systemic coercion. Integrity Initiative’s work builds on this legacy. It is iterative, and shaped by the advocacy of those who came before us, across this and many intersecting movements

We acknowledge those who fought for a voice, those still navigating oppressive systems, those resisting in ways unseen, and those yet to come. We carry this work forward with a commitment to not only hope for a better future, but to actively challenge the conditions that have caused harm.

Acknowledgement of country

Integrity Initiative acknowledges the traditional custodians of the Boodjar on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and extend our appreciation for their custodianship of so-called Australia. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
