Join us at The Backlot Perth as we celebrate the launch of Integrity Initiative and our Caring with Integrity project

PLEASE NOTE - we will be hosting a second event as we are experiencing high demand. If you are unable to attend this event but want to come along, send an email to rachael@integrityinitiative.com.au.

Integrity Initiative is a youth-led, Lived Experience social enterprise on a mission to cultivate autonomy, dignity and human rights in mental health treatment and conversations. We are proud to launch our inaugural project, Caring With Integrity, and we invite you to celebrate with us!

We will start with welcome drinks and then transition into an introductory presentation and origin story, where you can expect to learn all about Integrity Initiative, the founder, how it came to existence, and where to from here.

We will then dive into the feature film 'Forget What You Think You Know' followed by thank-yous, networking, opportunity for questions and catering. You can also expect a goody bag of resources to take home with you!

'Forget What You Think You Know' is a 40-minute documentary following 7 young West Australians living with or having lived with eating disorders - Lexington, Rachael, Caitlin, Tyler, Mel, Lily, and Claudio - and their responses to some of the most common misconceptions around anorexia, eating disorders and mental ill-health.

See the trailer here!

Ticket sales are tax-deductible, and all profits go directly into Integrity Initiative's inaugural project which will see care package deliveries through mental health facilities in Western Australia, creation of resources and coping toolkits, community engagement opportunities, and education throughout communities.

Donations to Integrity Initiative are tax-deductible thanks to our auspicing partner, Consumers of Mental Health Western Australia.

We hope to see you there!

Recognition of Lived Experience

The Consumer/Survivor Movement calls for human rights, recognition, and justice for people with lived experience of mental health challenges, psychiatric treatment, and systemic coercion. Integrity Initiative’s work builds on this legacy. It is iterative, and shaped by the advocacy of those who came before us, across this and many intersecting movements

We acknowledge those who fought for a voice, those still navigating oppressive systems, those resisting in ways unseen, and those yet to come. We carry this work forward with a commitment to not only hope for a better future, but to actively challenge the conditions that have caused harm.

Acknowledgement of country

Integrity Initiative acknowledges the traditional custodians of the Boodjar on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and extend our appreciation for their custodianship of so-called Australia. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
