Creating In Community: Trail of Creativity

ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE HERE: https://canva.link/ns6wem4nn3qxydb

An open, peer‑led creative space for up to 100 people — all materials provided, light catering, fully accessible venue.

As part of Integrity Initiative’s Trail of Creativity, we’re opening the doors to a special community session of Compassionate Creation , one of our most loved workshops designed to help people reconnect with creativity through a lens of imperfection, gentleness, and shared humanity.

You don’t need to be an artist (or even feel creative) to join us. This space is for everyone. From Peers, supporters, and community members to youth workers, allied health professionals and beyond... Creating In Community is perfect for anyone who wants to make something with their hands, connect with others, and contribute to a collective creative ecosystem. Enjoy a light morning tea, settle into a welcoming environment, and create at your own pace with all materials provided.

About Compassionate Creation

This workshop has been delivered across a wide range of communities from the TheMHS National Conference and WAPSN Conference, to step‑up step‑down services, sector community‑of‑practice meetings, and local grassroots groups. No matter the setting, the heart of the workshop remains the same: creativity as connection, creativity as care, creativity as a way to be human together.

Recognition of Lived Experience

The Consumer/Survivor Movement calls for human rights, recognition, and justice for people with lived experience of mental health challenges, psychiatric treatment, and systemic coercion. Integrity Initiative’s work builds on this legacy. It is iterative, and shaped by the advocacy of those who came before us, across this and many intersecting movements

We acknowledge those who fought for a voice, those still navigating oppressive systems, those resisting in ways unseen, and those yet to come. We carry this work forward with a commitment to not only hope for a better future, but to actively challenge the conditions that have caused harm.

Acknowledgement of country

Integrity Initiative acknowledges the traditional custodians of the Boodjar on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and extend our appreciation for their custodianship of so-called Australia. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
