A grumpy Christmas party for those who find the holidays hard. Come as you are, no Christmas cheer required!

READ THE ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE HERE

Join Integrity Initiative for a heartwarming (and slightly grouchy) evening that celebrates the real side of the holidays… that is the messy, meaningful, and human parts we don’t always talk about.

You can expect:

  • A pay-what-you-feel sausage sizzle and festive networking.

  • A panel discussion with Rahul Seth, Kieran Silvie, Alessia Maio and Zoe Diakoloukas.

  • A screening of the 2018 animated film The Grinch.

  • Grouchy craft stations to make your own DIY Christmas gifts.

  • Your chance to write a letter to the mean green one (to be delivered back to you via email on Christmas Day).

  • Give and receive meaningful gifts through our community Grouchy Gifts Station.

  • Popcorn, drinks, and good company provided.

Whether you love Christmas or you dread it, this space welcomes you. Celebrate the glimmers and prioritise your own peace during the holiday season, because not everyone feels merry (and that’s okay!).

Free entry, registration preferred but not required required (so that we can cater!).

Recognition of Lived Experience

The Consumer/Survivor Movement calls for human rights, recognition, and justice for people with lived experience of mental health challenges, psychiatric treatment, and systemic coercion. Integrity Initiative’s work builds on this legacy. It is iterative, and shaped by the advocacy of those who came before us, across this and many intersecting movements

We acknowledge those who fought for a voice, those still navigating oppressive systems, those resisting in ways unseen, and those yet to come. We carry this work forward with a commitment to not only hope for a better future, but to actively challenge the conditions that have caused harm.

Acknowledgement of country

Integrity Initiative acknowledges the traditional custodians of the Boodjar on which we work, the Whadjuk Noongar people. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and extend our appreciation for their custodianship of so-called Australia. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
